Erin Perry O'Donnell

I am a professional communicator with a background in print journalism, expertise in new media and social networking, and a flair for crafting engaging stories and effective messages.

I got my start as a newspaper reporter, but then the Internet took off. So I seized the opportunity to evolve my communication skills as a web content producer and keep pace with the advances in new media. Later, I struck out on my own as a freelance writer. I have published articles in local, regional, and national publications on a diversity of topics including health, parenting, meeting and event planning, alumni relations, higher education, fundraising, and more.

I am still active in digital media, too. I produce website content and consult clients on making the best of their web presence. I’ve produced measurable results in gaining a following through social media. I serve as webmaster for the Kansas Writers Association and manage the group’s Facebook and Twitter presence (@KWAWriters). I produce KWA’s monthly e-newsletter and served as print newsletter editor in 2010. I have also helped coordinate our annual writers’ conference since 2009.
