Emeril Lagasse has risen to phenomenal heights as a chef. He is arguably the most well known celebrity chef in the world today. Perhaps what Emeril is most known for is his television show where he has coined the phrase "Bam." He is currently the host of the Television Food Network's production of "The Essence of Emeril" and "Emeril Live." This fall, Emeril will also star in a new NBC comedy entitled "Emeril" on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. (EST). Also, his sixth book, entitled Primetime Emeril, will debut in September 2001.
